The Checklist

Ashlyn is now going to preschool at Kindercare. Yes - it is a preschool program even though she won't be in Kindergarten for a couple of years. So far so good - except for two sick days by week two, but what are you going to do. This marks the retirement of the Evans grandparents who have baby sat their grandchildren for a combined total of 16 years. The help of both Grandparents was greatly appreciated - and I know the kids wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

I can say what a difference when you have to get two off to school and two off to work. Krista is a big help once she is done eating - which the Grandmas know can take forever. Ashlyn seems to really like it. They have a great class room and a even greater playground. She loves her teacher -and the rest of the staff have been great. Luckily one of Krista's friends little sister is in her class and they know each other from play dates - they are now little buds as well.

I think when it comes to the morning routine, Jenn and I were most likely thinking the same thing - how the hell am I (meaning Billy) going to do this in the morning - thank heaven for the two "C"'s - we call "Checklist" & "Coffee". The checklist was for pretty much for me for the first two days since we are not the best morning people. It is now a ritual that gets the kids going in the morning so it is here to stay. I can now say that I no longer rely on it but it keeps the kids on track. My best time to date is on the road by 7:43am to work dropping off Krista at "before care" and Ashlyn to Kindercare. Not bad for a person who overuses the "snooze" option...

"An Apple a Day" my Butt

(don't get too excited ladies)

First Day of School and you can see Ashlyn was very excited Mommy and Daddy just plain nervous.
